What is your favorite family tradition?
The Holidays are one of my happiest memories growing up. My father was German and Christmas was extremely important to him. On Christmas Eve, we would go with him to a service in the area. He liked to try different ones each year. In that time, my mom would light our tree with candles and we would come home to a magical room filled with presents, candles and delicious marzipan(a German delicacy). We always celebrated Christmas Eve and the next day, we would have a big lunch with friends from all over. Now that I have children, we have new traditions. We have our champagne toast (The girls have Martinellis sparkling Apple cider) and dress up on Christmas Eve. Then it's early to bed for them while the grown ups have a delicious dinner all dressed up. In the morning, Santa has ARRIVED. We open presents and stay in our pjs all day. We have Christmas lunch and a family walk to the beach!
