Aleta Kids Count On! Set
If there was a “Most Versatile” toy parade, this counting set would for sure be an honoree. Beautifully crafted of responsibly sourced, smoothly sanded European beechwood, children can use this 11-piece block set and interchangeable lacing cords as a counting tool, soothing fine motor activity, building set, and more. As a counting tool, this set engages children’s natural fascination for numbers, which they’re exposed to at an early age, from answering how old they are to hearing how many eggs are needed to bake that cake. Around age four, when kiddos are usually ready to learn numbers and math concepts like addition, subtraction, proportions, comparisons, measures, sequences and progressions, use each numbered block as a “manipulative toy” to make abstract concepts material. With the lace cords, kids can practice patterning, building, construction, explore their creative side, and learn design basics, all play activities which support fine motor development and help build focus and patience. We could go on, but we’ll let kiddo lead the imagining!

By age four many children are ready to learn numbers and concepts like addition and subtraction, quantities, measures, proportions, comparisons (smaller than, bigger than, longer than…) sequences and progressions.
